New Year, New Awards Season

As the new year turns, nomination season for the Hugos is underway.

The Hugo nomination period is open until March 11th. If you were a member of Renovation last year, or are already a member of Chicon this year or LoneStarCon next year (2013 Worldcon), you can nominate your favorite works or people from last year. If you have not yet bought a Worldcon membership, supporting or full, you only have until January 31 to do so and get nominating rights.

I’ve been involved with a few things in 2011 that are eligible in a few categories. If you are someone who plans to nominate, please feel free to consider my 2011 works if you wish to do so, along with the other great stuff out there done by awesome people.

They are:

Best Related Work:
Whedonistas

Best Semiprozine:
Apex Magazine

Best Fancast:
The SF Squeecast, where I get excited about awesome SF/F stuff monthly with Paul Cornell, Elizabeth Bear, Catherynne M. Valente, and Seanan McGuire.
