Jane Austen and Science Fiction and Fantasy Panel: Book List

This past weekend, as one of the presenters at the Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books, I did a panel with Mary Robinette Kowal where we discussed Jane Austen and SF/F.  We loosely defined this as “SF/F that is set during the regency period, not necessarily following the tropes of an Austen novel.”

Mary kindly brought some regency dresses so that we could provide additional context by wearing them for the panel. Which we did.

I had put together a brief list of books that fit the definition, and was asked to post the list to my website. 🙂

Please keep in mind that I have not read many of these! It is simply a list I generated when looking for this type of thing.

I’ve put a list together in my Goodreads account for you. Go forth, and purchase from your dealer of choice, or request from your libraries!
