Hey, where have you been?

I’ve been on vacation. Two whole weeks of it, the longest non-Caitlin-medical-related break I’ve taken from my day job since my first day in January 2004. This also included a pretty decent decoupling from the internet. I only looked at my work email ONCE while I was away.

Our family had a lovely road trip to the Boston, MA area, where we stayed with dear friends in Watertown and did a bunch of stuff! We saw friends old and new, and my side of the family and did a book event in Worcester, and we went to the MFA, and spent a day in Salem, John Overholt graciously gave me an awesome tour of the stacks at the Houghton, we went to a book signing on my birthday, and Caitlin mainlined a season and a half of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. As you do.

…and I got strep throat. 😦 And then I got antibiotics! (Thank you, CVS Minute Clinic.) I’m better now (finished off the antibiotics last night), and am back at work, back in the office, back to trying to prep my last two issues of Apex Magazine while playing catch up at the day job.

So. That’s what I’ve been up to! And of course, when I go on vacation, that’s when they announce that new episodes of Doctor Who have been found and are released on iTunes. Also, while I was away, Chicago TARDIS announced Michael as one of this year’s guests! We are all really excited for him. ❤

So, what have you been up to?
